This charming Victorian Wine Country Cottage bed and breakfast, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in the 1860s by Samuel Brannan, Calistoga's founder and one of California's early entrepreneurs. Of the original 25 cottages, only three remain and the Inn has the only cottage remaining at its original location according to the town layout developed by Brannan.
Distinguished by its intricate gingerbread, gable-board and scalloped ridge cresting, the bed and breakfast features a broad wraparound porch and a private courtyard surrounded by ornamental and herb gardens, with two separate lawn areas. We have a total of six rooms, four standard one-bedroom units and two mini-suites (with an additional sitting area and the ability to sleep four guests). We offer a full breakfast each morning and typically have a "wine and cheese hour" in the late afternoon/early evening.
Brannan Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast is approximately five minutes walking distance to Calistoga's popular restaurants, spas, shops, and sports facilities. The inn is available for small meetings and special events year round, with outdoor facilities available in warmer months. Guests enjoy private off-street parking (with security lighting).
