After removing the foil from the bottle, place the wine opener on the bottle. Push the down button and the opener does all of the work removing the cork from the bottle. Then press the up button and it releases the cork from the opener. The unit can open approximately 30 bottles per charge and does well with both real and synthetic corks. The rechargeable base takes about a 3 inch by 3 inch square on your counter and comes with a foil cutter.

Cons: The unit does not signal when the cork has been completely removed from the bottle. Foil cutter is flimsy.
