Fenugreek's aroma and taste are strong, sweet, and somewhat bitter, reminiscent of burnt sugar. Fenugreek seeds are most common in curries, chutneys, and baking, but can also be eaten raw or cooked, or even used to make imitation maple syrup. In Armenia, it is called chaimen.
